of you have tried the "Add Basemap" maps from ESRI in ArcMap version
10. They are very nice basemaps ready to go. In particular, check out
"Streets" and zoom to an area you are familiar with to about 1:7000. You should
see a really nice base street map with a faint outline of taxlots. Don't have a
favorite area? Pick somewhere around Stayton - you'll see the map has the
updates for the new overpass that was recently finished. (Unfamiliar? Hit the
little arrow right of the "Plus" button; Select "Add Basemap..."; Select
"Streets" You must have version 10.)</SPAN></FONT></DIV>

potential with this base map in making web applications so much simplier to

to use this map service for my web application (not using ArcMap), I would not
be able to zoom in quite as close and I would not be able to see the taxlot
outline. It is my understanding we would need to pay for this level of
zoom. The "free" level of zoom is just about one or two scales too small (too
