Please find attached the vacancy announcement for a Suicide Prevention Coordinator position at the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board. The position will be .6 FTE (24 hour work week) and is an hourly, non-exempt classification. The position is eligible for benefits.   
 
Established in 1972, the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board (NPAIHB or the Board) is a non-profit tribal advisory organization serving the forty-three federally recognized tribes of Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Tribal governments appoint a delegate to represent them on the Board of Directors, which meets on a quarterly basis to oversee NPAIHB projects. In 1997, the NPAIHB received funding to establish the Northwest Tribal Epidemiology Center (EpiCenter), which conducts health-related research and disease surveillance in partnership with the NW tribes. NPAIHB and the EpiCenter have an extensive track record collaborating with tribes in public health interventions, community-based participatory research, and policy change affecting Indian people on a regional and national scale.
