Position Description:
Planning, Policy and Program Development - Coordinate and staff the Vulnerable Populations Pandemic Assessment Initiative Workgroup. Coordinate and implement a needs assessment with workgroup partners. Lead development of planning to support vulnerable population access to pandemic-related prophylaxis.
Coordinate interagency work to refine state policies and systems to support inclusion of vulnerable populations in pandemic and immunization planning. Serve as liaison to the VPPA Initiative and other state and local agencies.
Convene and co-facilitate groups of state and local partners as it. Key partners include: Department of Human Services and Oregon Health Authority programs, local health officials, other state agencies, health systems and non-profit sector representatives.
Develop and deliver reports and presentations for internal and external audiences (policy makers, public health planners, etc.). Develop and maintain collaborations with state agencies, private health providers and local partners
Research and Evaluation - Research and analyze evidence-based practice and systems improvement strategies for homebound and facility bound persons.
Work with SPD, OIP and Prep staff to design and implement a needs assessment. Ensure compliance of initiative work with PHER grant requirements.
Synthesize research and prepare periodic reports and other communications for internal and external audiences. Develop recommendations for policy and program modifications based on the needs assessment. Present research and evaluation findings to internal and external audiences.
Consultation and Technical Assistance - Provide technical assistance to state and local partners. Develop, consult with and/or facilitate cross-disciplinary teams to assess and strengthen the VPPA Initiative.
