  *OPHA Disability Section Scholarship Now Available!*

The Disability Section <http://opha.memberclicks.net/disability> is
offering annual scholarships to two individuals who demonstrate commitment
to disability issues, leadership, and interest in active involvement in
Disability Section activities. Applicants should be students, individuals
new to the field, or those joining the OPHA Disability Section for the
first time.

The scholarship covers registration to the 2014 or 2015 OPHA Annual
Conference <http://opha.memberclicks.net/2014-conference-home> in Corvallis
in October and membership dues for one year. To apply, submit a 1-page
essay describing experience and interests within disability and public
health fields to Jana Peterson-Besse at jpb at pacificu.edu by *September 22,
2014*.

*What is OPHA?*
OPHA is a professional group that works to end health disparities and
promote access to health care for all Oregonians.

*What is the Disability Section?*
The Disability Section <http://opha.memberclicks.net/disability> is an
interest group within OPHA that aims to raise awareness of health
disparities experienced by people with disabilities advocate for policies
that decrease health disparities they experience.
