OPHA 2017 Pre-Conference Workshop

Environmental/Public Health Literacy

Is your public health messaging not quite hitting the mark? One of the first communications lessons we're taught is to know our audience, but what do we know about our audience's level of public health literacy? This workshop will provide you knowledge of environmental public health literacy concepts to help you focus your message to achieve your desired outcome. You will learn about resources available to create and refine informative text and infographics. You'll learn about tools and survey techniques to pre-test public health messages. Best of all, you'll put all of this knowledge into practice during the workshop!
