Obesity is one of public health’s top priorities. A growing body of evidence links community design and environmental factors with obesity. To support obesity studies and inform prevention efforts, Oregon Environmental Public Health
Tracking (EPHT) is publishing weight status data calculated from driver’s license and identification cards issued by Driver and Motor Vehicles Services (DMV). With over 3.5 million records containing address information, this rich data source can provide precise
weight estimates for areas as small as census block groups.
