</b>Dr. Alma M.O. Trinidad and Lakindra Mitchell Dove.  Dr. Trinidad is an assistant professor at Portland State University (PSU), School of Social Work.</span><span style="font-family:"Garamond","serif""> She is a macro social worker by training, and brings
 an array of work and scholarship in community organizing, health and mental health promotion, education, and mentoring among diverse communities.  Her research, scholarly activism, and teaching focus on community youth participation, critical Indigenous pedagogy
 of place, and community epistemology as venues for empowerment, sociopolitical development, collective consciousness, and promotion of health, wellness, and social sustainability.  Lakindra is a fourth year doctoral student in social work at PSU. She received
 her MSW from PSU in 2004 and has worked primarily with youth and families in various capacities. She is currently a pediatric social worker at Randall Children's Hospital, specializing in child abuse. Her research focuses on addressing the cultural needs of
 African American youth in foster care. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
