Colleagues,
 
I'm happy to let you all know that the Oregon TPEP Report for 2009-2011 has been published and is now available. The report, which we're required to submit to the Oregon Legislature each biennium, is being distributed to legislators as we speak, and we wanted to make it available to all of you as well.
 
Attached you'll find a letter being sent to all of you along with a couple hard-copy versions of the publication. The report can be found online at http://public.health.oregon.gov/PreventionWellness/TobaccoPrevention/Documents/2009-2011_TPEP_Report.pdf.
 
Inside, you'll find a slew of local stories showing successes in tobacco control over the last two years. These short stories continue a theme we began in the 2007-2009 TPEP Report that focuses on individuals and organizations in your communities who've made a difference in the effort to reduce tobacco use and exposure. Thanks to all of you who helped us gather these great stories.
 
I also wanted to take this opportunity to invite you to continue submitting your story ideas for the next TPEP Report, the 2011-2013 edition, since the next two years will bring us all-new challenges and all-new successes. As you know, there's still plenty of work to be done, and we look forward to a great 2012 fiscal year with all of you to continue decreasing disparities, exposure to secondhand smoke, youth initiation and consumption.
