Hello Everyone,
It is my pleasure to introduce, via email, HPCDP's newest Community Programs Liaison. Terresa White joined our team on November 30, 2012 as a Liaison/Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Coordinator.

Terresa comes to HPCDP from the Development, Marketing and Communications Department at Oregon Food Bank (OFB). Prior to her work at OFB, Terresa spent eight years at the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board coordinating both the Western Tobacco Prevention Project, a state-funded project providing culturally appropriate education and information to people working in tribal communities in Washington State, and the National Tribal Tobacco Prevention Network, a CDC project aimed at building tobacco prevention capacity in American Indian and Alaska Native communities nationally. She also managed health program grants for the Native American Rehabilitation Association Clinic here in Portland. Terresa brings expertise in technical and grant writing, working with communities as a liaison, coaching grantees, and providing training and technical assistance to people engaging in health promotion and disease prevention initiatives in their communities.

As you can see, Terresa brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her job and this section. Terresa is connecting with her grantees in the coming days, and many of you will have a chance to meet Terresa in person during the Regional Trainings in January and early February.

Thank you, and welcome to Terresa!

Kati
