Hello Tribal TPEP Coordinators,

A PROMISE National Conference, sponsored by the  Inter Tribal Council of Michigan's Prevention's Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health and funded by the CDC, will be held in Tempe, Arizona May 2-3, 2012.

A PROMISE National Conference will feature:

  *   Tribal governance and policy development to promote healthier Tribal communities
  *   Best and promising practices integrating tobacco and chronic disease prevention
  *   Tribal health networks and partnerships improving health through systems and environmental change

Conference Goals Focus On

  *   Supporting healthy communities through tribal governance
  *   Integrating commercial tobacco and chronic disease programs
  *   Using evaluation to develop best practices
  *   Sharing tool, resources, and approaches
