Hello all,
Shaun Parkman shared the following resource with me and I thought it might be helpful to many of you particularly as you develop your work plans for the coming year.

Tribes develop tobacco-free policy implementation guides
In conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and the Cherokee Nation have developed two new tobacco-free policy implementation guides. The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians has developed a guide to facilitate the adoption of a smoke-free housing policy for tribal housing authorities. The Cherokee Nation has developed a guide to implement a tobacco-free policy for city parks. Click here<http://healthysaulttribe.com/tobacco/smoke-free-housing> to access the new guide on smoke-free tribal housing, or click here<http://www.cherokee.org/Services/Health/31664/Information.aspx> for the guide on tobacco-free parks. Both guides are also available here<http://www.keepitsacred.org/toolkit/> through the Tribal Smoke-Free Policy Toolkit, a product of the National Native Commercial Tobacco Abuse Prevention Network.
