HPCDP, TPEP and Tribal Grantees:
The Wellness at Work program continues to make good progress in supporting public and private sector employers to create health-supporting policies and programs. Thank you for your work! We're now doing another outreach push to continue showing that worksite wellness is becoming a norm, and to provide more "how to" support for employers. We'd like your help with a few things:
1. In some counties, we have good success stories of employers creating healthy worksites. We'd like to get some earned media visibility for these stories, so the Met Group TA team will be contacting grantees in these counties to discuss opportunities.
2. The MG TA team will be reaching out to additional county and tribal programs to brainstorm local employer success stories and opportunities for media coverage and/or community outreach. Please watch for their call, or feel free to reach out directly if you have an opportunity and need support.
3. We are preparing an enhanced speaker kit, including a new Powerpoint addressing HOW to start a wellness program, and a video profiling successful employers across the state. (The video will features segments on Baker School District, Cascade Steel, Pittman Brooks, Duckwall Pooley, and Standing Stone). We'll send you the speaker kit later this month, and the video at the end of March. Your liaison and/or MG TA team can help you identify and set speaking and outreach engagements in your community.
Hopefully these materials and resources will support your efforts to promote Wellness at Work and help your area employers take a step toward wellness. Thanks for helping promote this program. If we can help, please let us know!
