The Weight of the Nation
Shorts Toolkit

The Oregon Public Health Division, Center for Prevention and Health Promotion has developed a toolkit that incorporates bonus shorts from the Weight of the Nation. This can be used by local county health agencies and community partners to engage communities and partners around obesity prevention strategies.

This webinar will showcase the toolkit and present ideas for hosting a screening as a forum for communication and collaboration. The toolkit features three sections: one focusing on environmental change; one on the life course approach to preventing obesity, and the last on the role of genetics and stigma around obesity. The toolkit includes key data points, core messages, definitions, and resources as well as a suggestion for which bonus shorts to show, and suggested discussion questions.
