Subject: Tribal TPEP RFA and Healthy Communities Continuation Application Released
Dear Tribal Administrators,
The Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention Program (HPCDP) of the Oregon Health Authority announces the release of the 2013-2014 Tribal Tobacco Prevention and Education Program (TPEP) Request for Applications and the 2013-2014 Healthy Communities Implementation Program Continuation Application.
These documents will guide tribal public health staff to write workplans which implement evidence-based best practices for commercial tobacco prevention and education programs and for prevention, early detection, and self-management of chronic diseases.
The documents are available through HPCDP Connection here: http://public.health.oregon.gov/Partners/HPCDPConnection/Pages/RFAs.aspx
with the username: HPCDP and password: Communities12 (The username and password are case sensitive.)
Over the next two weeks, HPCDP Community Programs Liaisons and Research Analysts will meet with TPEP and Healthy Communities Coordinators at the in-person training in each Regional Support Network. These meetings are required for coordinators to attend and will provide an overview of the Request for Applications and Continuation Application, as well as updates and regional planning opportunities.
Please notify your staff about the availability of these documents. HPCDP will also notify coordinators of the RFA and Continuation Application release via our listservs. Please be in touch with me if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Kati Moseley
