Good afternoon,
There is an upcoming leader training opportunity for the Walk With Ease program. Walk With Ease is a community-based physical activity and self-management education program for those who have arthritis or simply want to walk for better health. It is conducted in groups led by trained leaders in a structured six-week program. Sessions are held three times a week over the six-week period for a total of 18 sessions.
While most leader trainings for Walk With Ease are conducted online, this is an opportunity for those who wish to complete the training in person to do so. The training will take place on September 6 in Portland at the Food Innovation Center from 9am-1pm.
Please share this training opportunity with your networks (note that TPEP Coordinators should not become leaders on TPEP time, but are asked to forward this on to partners).
To register for this training opportunity, or to ask questions about becoming a trained leader in the program, please contact Katie Conte at 541-737-3173 or Katie.conte at oregonstate.edu<mailto:Katie.conte at oregonstate.edu>.
More information is in the attached flyer.
Best,
April
