The Oregon Health Authority-Public Health Division was one of several sponsors of a visit by James Sallis Ph.D., Director of Active Living Research, who spoke about the critical issue of land use and transportation strategies as a strategic opportunity for public health to get more Oregonians moving and reduce the burden of obesity and chronic disease.
Dr. Sallis appeared in a number of Oregon venues - including Tigard, Bend, Salem, Eugene, Beaverton and Portland - as part of the "Healthy Communities Speaker Series."
