Happy Halloween HPCDP Grantees!

See the call for presentations below for the 2015 School Employee Wellness conference. HPCDP partners with OEA Choice Trust to support worksite wellness efforts for Oregon’s school employees. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the context in which schools operate and build relationships with your school partners. School employee wellness is a great avenue to begin partnering with schools on other initiatives related to students or community. You will also build skills that will apply to your own worksite wellness efforts.

I encourage you to submit a call for presentations and help increase the public health presence at this conference.

Greetings!

We would like to invite you, or someone you know, to submit a proposal for breakout sessions at the 2015 Oregon School Employee Wellness Conference: The Power of US!, scheduled for March 22-24th, 2015, in Bend, Oregon.  Last year’s conference was a great success with 200 attendees!

The Oregon School Employee Wellness conference is made possible because of OEA Choice Trust's partnerships with the Moda Health, Kaiser Permanente, Oregon School Boards Association, Confederation of Oregon School Administrators, OEA/NEA, Crook County Public Health, Oregon Public Health Division, Oregon ASCD, Oregon Department of Education’s Child Nutrition Services, and Oregon Educators Benefit Board.

Our overarching goal for the 2015 Oregon School Employee Wellness conference is to engage school employees in creating healthier school environments that supports the physical, social, and emotional health and well-being of staff and students.

We would like our attendees to be able to:
•       Increase their personal awareness and skills to improve their overall health.
•       Make the case for healthy school employees and the connection to student success.
•       Establish a school team to develop a sustainable plan of action for school employee wellness at their school, district, and community.
•       Utilize national, state and local evidence based resources to forward healthy school environments for staff and students.
•       Participate in meaningful networking opportunities to share ideas, build collaborations, and connect to resources.

 If you, or someone you know, has an exciting presentation that aligns with our conference goal and objectives, we encourage you to submit a proposal.  For more information and to submit a proposal please review the attached Call for Presentation Proposals.

Proposal submissions are due by 5pm (Pacific Time) on Tuesday, December 1st 2014
