Hello Tribal Coordinators,
I wanted to send out a clarifying email regarding the New Coordinator Orientation webinar tomorrow. ALL new coordinators, tribal, county and healthy communities are required to attend. All coordinators who have been in your program for less than a year are required to attend. Coordinators who have worked for more than a year are also invited, but not required to attend.
The training and technical assistance calendar states the October New Coordinator Orientation Webinar is "Tribal-specific" so we understand if you thought you only had to attend that one. However, you still need to attend the other 4 listed on the training calendar. The material covered on the other calls will apply to your work and enhance your learning about tobacco and chronic disease prevention efforts.
I hope this helps clear up any confusion there might have been. The registration link is below for those of you who have not yet registered. If you are unable to attend please let your liaison know.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you and I look forward to talking with you tomorrow.
Jenica

Importance: High
Coordinators,
This is a friendly reminder to register for the required New Coordinator Orientation Webinar. The webinar is tomorrow, August 19th, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 am. You will find the registration link in the email body below.
The webinar will be a walkthrough of HPCDP Connection<https://partners.health.oregon.gov/partners/HPCDPConnection/Pages/index.aspx> to discuss the tools and resources housed on the site that inform and guide your work. To log into HPCDP Connection you will need to enter the password: HPCDP and the username: Communities12 (both are case sensitive).
I encourage you to spend some time today to look over the site. I have created a brief survey to gather your feedback about any questions you may have when you are navigating HPCDP Connection. The survey is only three questions and will provide you an opportunity to share what you need help locating on the site. There will be sufficient time tomorrow to address any questions you have, but if you could take a moment to fill out the survey, I can identify common themes and make sure to spend more time on a particular area of the site.
To access the survey, please click this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/FN858LL
Please respond by COB today.
If you have any questions, please let me know, or contact your liaison.
Thank you!

Good Afternoon and Happy Friday!
First of all, a big WELCOME to all of the new program coordinators!! We are happy to have you join our statewide team!
As you are settling into the year you may be thinking, wow, there is a lot to learn. Good news! This year's first New Coordinator Orientation webinar is just around the corner and is scheduled for next week, Wednesday, August 19th from 10:00-11:00am!
As most of you are probably aware, one of the first tools you are referred to for orientation and resources to help ground you in your work is, HPCDP Connection<https://partners.health.oregon.gov/partners/HPCDPConnection/Pages/index.aspx>. Remember, the site that has the username: HPCDP; and password: Communities12 (both are case sensitive)? That's the one, and that is the topic of our first webinar.
HPCDP Connection offers a myriad of tools and resources that can inform and guide your work - ways to assess where you are, where you want to go, and how to get there. But as you will see in this walk-thru of the site, the pathway to change is not necessarily straightforward. It can begin in the middle, jump ahead, and circle back around. You just need to have a plan, be patient, and not be afraid to ask for help along the way. This walk-through will be informal and allow time for questions throughout. I plan to cover a few examples during the presentation of locating information on HPCDP Connection that may be essential to completing a work load task.
