Subject: TGM 2016 Grant Awards

Dear Partners -

Today I am sharing information about this year's Transportation and Growth Management Program (TGM) grant awards. As many of you have heard at trainings and other HPCDP settings, we have been growing our work with TGM through co-sponsoring education and outreach that brings health and planning practitioners together, as well as informing the criteria used for TGM grant awards.

This year, using a health lens in planning was called out as an innovative practice and awarded bonus points. Quite a few grant applications did engage public health stakeholders, or include a health impact assessment, or otherwise move in this direction.

Please see the attached list of awardees, also found on the TGM website http://www.oregon.gov/LCD/TGM/pages/index.aspx and also see the attached list of applicants not funded. These projects may be of interest for some of you, as they often relate to multi-modal transportation (i.e., walkability), and you may want to reach out to join these efforts in your local community.
