Hello!

The Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention Section (HPCDP) is seeking a full-time Health Systems Coordinator to help promote public health and health system linkages to decrease tobacco use, increase physical activity, assure access to healthy foods, and promote access to chronic disease self-management programs. In this role, you will join a large team of dedicated professionals tackling some of Oregon's greatest health challenges within the state's public health system.

Today, nutritious food, places to play and be active, and smokefree air are out of reach for too many Oregonians, particularly for people of color and people living with fewer financial resources. As a result, chronic diseases such as asthma, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, and cancer are on the rise. HPCDP is tackling chronic disease prevention with a community-wide approach to help people eat better, move more, live tobacco free, and take care of themselves.

If you are looking to be part of a dynamic, energetic team working to improve the lives of people living in Oregon, please consider this position. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in the following areas:

* Experience planning and providing training and technical assistance to diverse groups.

* Ability to use training tools and create agendas.

* Strong track record of creating and maintaining partnerships among diverse constituencies.

* Ability to guide and motivate partners.

* Experience monitoring programs for compliance and quality assurance.

* Multitasking skills with an ability to balance projects with conflicting deadlines.

* Working knowledge of grant and contract administration.

* Project management, organization and planning skills.

*         Strong public speaking skills.

*         Experience in conflict management.

This recruitment is for one full-time, permanent positions located in Portland (800 NE Oregon Street). The recruitment is open until October 12, 2016.
