Hello Healthy Communities,

Here are two great school wellness resources!

1) The School Wellness Newsletter is attached.  This newsletter is published twice a year - fall and spring - and contains articles, recipes, and links to resources to help schools support wellness efforts. This issue focuses on school wellness policies. The newsletter is geared towards school staff and community organizations working with schools.  Articles, or the whole newsletter, can be shared with students' families.

2) Oregon has been selected to participate in this year's National Foundation of Governors' Fitness Councils 2017 DON'T QUIT! fitness campaign! Three Oregon schools that demonstrate leadership in getting and keeping students fit will be selected to receive $100,000 fitness centers.  Please see the attached  nomination form with requirements and announcement from Governor Brown.  Nomination forms are due no later than Friday, June 2, 2017 at 5:00 pm PT.
