Hello Tribal TPEP Partners,
During the Tribal TPEP RFA Support call yesterday, we received a question about the cost of the American Lung Association N-O-T (Not on Tobacco) training that NW Portland Area Indian Health Board is certified to deliver. I reached out to the board, and confirmed that the cessation program is free to community members, and is conducted over 10 sessions and geared towards teenagers. However, there is a program requirement that the 10 sessions be delivered within 10 weeks, which would make it much more feasible to have a community-based trainer deliver the program within your unique settings. Please contact Antoinette Aguirre at NPAIHB AAguirre at npaihb.org<mailto:AAguirre at npaihb.org> with any questions you might have about this cessation resource. You can also read more about how to support a local person in your community becoming trained here: http://www.lung.org/local-content/_content-items/our-initiatives/education-and-training/mpor-not-facilitator-training.html<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.lung.org_local-2Dcontent_-5Fcontent-2Ditems_our-2Dinitiatives_education-2Dand-2Dtraining_mpor-2Dnot-2Dfacilitator-2Dtraining.html&d=DwMFAg&c=7gilq_oJKU2hnacFUWFTuYqjMQ111TRstgx6WoATdXo&r=N39dt00JVCugEsD1jieWdqD8gHBDFm8wJn4ujdY2ysJ7l67Yk4PfB-2cEhkFbBwF&m=q3_uEbMPyNM89IfC1KEXn4P5Po7QwFZJyMBvMowN5GU&s=fEXyUptHX8syQjxyHYw92moXM4GOdSRvfw2bMoLsxro&e=>
