The Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Public Health Division (PHD), Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention (HPCDP) section<https://www.oregon.gov/oha/PH/DiseasesConditions/ChronicDisease/Pages/Program-Information.aspx> in Portland, OR is recruiting for a Health Equity Coordinator to coordinate and assist the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and the Department of Human Services (DHS) division administrators and their staff to develop and implement policy, system and environmental changes to address health equity through worksite wellness and community-based initiatives. The HPCDP section tackles chronic disease prevention with a comprehensive, community-wide approach to help people eat better, move more, live tobacco-free, and take charge of their health.

What will you do?
As the Health Equity Coordinator, you will promote policy, system and environmental changes that support all Oregonians achieve their health goals, specifically clients and consumers of OHA and DHS services. You will provide technical expertise to community partners, and OHA and DHS staff to implement and evaluate interventions at the community and organization level that aim to reduce substance misuse, and promote tobacco-free living, healthy eating, active living.  You will promote recommendations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and provide organizational policy work and mobilization around worksite wellness. You will monitor and provide responses to requests for information from OHA and DHS agencies and assist with communication among divisions and programs within OHA/DHS.  This position requires attendance at statewide and regional meetings across Oregon.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's Degree in Public Health or a degree related to Public Health; AND two years of experience coordinating or administering a program related to Public Health,
OR
Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience coordinating or administering a program related to Public Health.
