Hello Coordinators,

Please be aware that the following message was sent to all ADPEP and TPEP program leadership in tribes, counties and nonprofits. As we have communicated at multiple meetings, HPCDP is planning to conduct an assessment with interested volunteer ADPEP and TPEP program leadership to inform planning efforts for future technical assistance related to policy, systems and environmental change capacity. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Thank you,
Ashley

Dear Local Public Health Administrators, Public Health Officers, Tribal Health Directors, and Executive Directors,

This message is being sent to health officers as a courtesy. No action needed by health officers.

The Health Promotion Chronic Disease Prevention (HPCDP) section is planning to explore technical assistance needs for community policy, systems and environmental change efforts to inform planning efforts for future technical assistance related to capacity building throughout the state. HPCDP is interested in hearing from local and tribal program leadership to inform subsequent training and technical assistance, including potential leadership institutes. This initiative was discussed at the Conference of Local Health Officials (CLHO) Prevention and Health Promotion committee meetings in October and November. It was also discussed at the Addictions and Mental Health Planning and Advisory Council Behavioral Health Promotion & Prevention (BHPP) subcommittee meeting in November.

In the next several months, HPCDP is planning to conduct short interviews with volunteer ADPEP/TPEP community and tribal leadership about their past and present strategies. This information will assist HPCDP in planning and capacity building efforts. The interviews are planned to be conducted via telephone, and we anticipate they will take 30 minutes. Interviews will be conducted by one of HPCDP's evaluation contractors, Wyoming Statistical Analysis Center (WYSAC).

If you are interested in participating in this opportunity, please contact Ashley Thirstrup, Community Programs Lead at ASHLEY.THIRSTRUP at dhsoha.state.or.us<mailto:ASHLEY.THIRSTRUP at dhsoha.state.or.us> or (971) 673-1026.

We appreciate your consideration, and we look forward to learning more about successes and challenges in this work and input you have for HPCDP.

Thank you,

Ashley Thirstrup, MPA
