Good afternoon,
I'm pleased to share that the website for Oregon's Native Quit Line<http://www.nativequitline.com/> is live! The new website connects to the new Smokefree Oregon<https://smokefreeoregon.com/> site and has information about the Native Quit Line service and background on commercial and traditional tobacco in Oregon. This is also where the tobacco and alcohol assessment results for tribal service areas will live when they are complete in a few weeks.
I want to extend my deep thanks and appreciation for all the work tribal Tobacco Prevention and Education Program Coordinators, NARA, NAYA, Chemawa, and the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board put into this collaboration. We hope these materials are of service to your prevention and commercial tobacco cessation work and elevate Native voices from across Oregon.
As you roll out your promotions for the Native Quit Line in the coming weeks, please let us know how we can support your work and if you have any issues with the materials arriving from our contractors. Oregon Health Authority Facebook and Twitter will also be promoting the Native Quit Line with videos and stories from each tribe and native-serving organization, with their permission. We plan to start our promotion next week or the following week.
Please let me, My'kee Martinez, or Ashley Thirstrup or know if you have any questions. We look forward to continuing to work together on promoting the Native Quit Line and your commercial tobacco prevention and cessation work.
All the best,
Sarah
