Good afternoon, all -
I'm thrilled to introduce you to a brand-new Smokefree Oregon website - the completely updated www.smokefreeoregon.com<http://www.smokefreeoregon.com> is live today. We've been working with our communications contractor, the Metropolitan Group, to create a website that is easy to navigate, visually appealing, and, most importantly, tells the story of the Smokefree Oregon movement to galvanize people who live in Oregon. We've designed the site to make it clearer how to reach out to local tobacco prevention coordinators - you! - and illustrate how local work fits into a statewide picture.
You'll hear much more from me in the coming weeks about the updated site, including how to access the new portal for TPEP coordinators, how our email marketing campaign will work, and updated tobacco use data by county. For now, please take some time to get familiar with the new site and let me know what questions you have.
And please sign up for our Movement Building Training next Tuesday, February 4 (information copied below). The new website and prevention campaign launching in April are designed to activate people all over Oregon. Our trainings this year will equip you with ideas and tools to put that people power to work.
A special thanks to the group of TPEP coordinators and HPCDP staff who tested the new site - it's much stronger with your feedback.
Have a great weekend,
Sarah
