Good morning, all -

We hope this email finds you healthy and well. Attached to this email, you'll find new Smokefree Oregon fact sheets in English and Spanish about the connection between smoking and serious COVID-19 infection. As the coronavirus pandemic has progressed, the link between severe COVID-19, smoking, and many underlying conditions caused or exacerbated by smoking, has become clear. Now more than ever, it's important to provide resources for people to quit smoking and prevent youth from getting addicted to nicotine.

We continue to add resources to the Smokefree Oregon webpage and TPEP Portal about smoking, COVID-19, and health equity. If there's something you'd like to see shared, please let us know!

If you'd like any support talking through communications strategy and tactics in the current environment, we're here for that too. Please reach out to your Community Program Liaison or a Health Promotion Strategist (sarah.a.wylie at state.or.us<mailto:sarah.a.wylie at state.or.us>, megan.e.gerdes at state.or.us<mailto:megan.e.gerdes at state.or.us>, rebecca.garza at state.or.us<mailto:rebecca.garza at state.or.us>) if you'd like to touch base.

Thanks for all that you do!

Best regards,
Sarah Wylie
