Hello everyone,
Please see updates for 2020 Student Health Survey (SHS) results below. Things are starting to roll out!
The SHS state-level report is now available and can be accessed here:
https://www.oregon.gov/oha/PH/BIRTHDEATHCERTIFICATES/SURVEYS/Documents/SHS/2020/Reports/State%20of%20Oregon.2020%20SHS.pdf
Final school and school district-level reports are now available and have been sent to administrators.
* To access the reports, please contact your local administrators and ask for permission. They can provide you with the report itself or login information to the secured site for downloading.
* To access raw data files, please contact your local administrators and ask for permission. You can forward the email granting permission to the SHS survey coordinator (renee.k.boyd at state.or.us<mailto:renee.k.boyd at state.or.us>) and she can help you from there.
Things to know:
* County-level and tribal reports should be available in the next few weeks. Keep an eye on www.healthoregon.org/shs<http://www.healthoregon.org/shs>. We will also send out an email once they are posted.
* We recommend taking time to thoroughly review the state-level report, including the cautionary notes. It contains additional context, talking points and other useful information about the survey timeline, methodology, data limitations and caveats, participation rates and participating school districts.
* We've observed substantial reductions in 30-day substance use and related behaviors at the state-level. Please note that the 2020 SHS is a new survey and it was administered during a period of stay-at-home orders and distance learning.
* Stay tuned for a future webinar and the launch of a new online data query tool (ETA January 2022).
In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me or your liaison with questions.
Thank you!
