of the Amskapipikuni (Blackfeet) Nation and lives on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Montana. Lori serves as a national and international consultant to promote self-determined optimum cultural health for indigenous communities. She has over 21 years of
experience providing culturally based services to American Indian, Alaskan Native, First Nations, and other indigenous communities in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Poland. Lori’s work is dedicated to the principles of self-determination and
cultural expression in the development of viable practices to support the well-being of indigenous peoples.</span></font></span></font></div>

Iñupiaq Eskimo and an enrolled tribal member in the Native Village of Kiana, Alaska. Verné served as the Administrative Officer at Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board 2000 to 2008. Her passion is addressing health disparities in indigenous and minority
populations through health research, policy development, education and outreach. She is a firm believer in community-based approaches to best tap the existing strengths and resources these resilient populations already possess to garner additional resources
and greater understanding of the overall health needs and priorities of the people. Verné works from the understanding that culturally intelligent approaches are needed to build, and build upon, evidence-based approaches.</span></font></span></font></div>
