<b>Improved Data Collection and Analysis</b> in order to address the disparities facing communities in Oregon. We're pleased to have Dr. Marguerite Ro of King County Public Health and a member of National DHHS Committee on Minority Health. Dr. Ro has worked
previously with the Asian Pacific Islander American Health Forum in SF and DC on health policy.</span><span style="color:#222222"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span class="il"><b><span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#222222;background:white">About Marguerite</span></b></span><b><span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#222222;background:white"> <span class="il">Ro</span>, DrPH</span></b><span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#222222;background:white">
is the Chief of the Assessment, Policy Development, and Evaluation unit of Public Health – Seattle & King County where she leads the department’s work in community health assessment and evaluation and is the Department’s representative to the County’s Equity
and Social Justice Interbranch Team. She was recently appointed to the Washington Health Benefit Exchange Health Equity Technical Advisory Committee. Dr. <span class="il">Ro</span> has long been a leader in developing and implementing innovative health programs
that address health disparities among our nation’s most at-risk populations. She currently chairs the HHS Advisory Committee on Minority Health and is a member of the CDC Advisory Committee to the Director, Health Disparities Subcommittee. As Deputy Director
of the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum, she played a leadership role in the development of Health Through Action a groundbreaking partnership program to close health gaps for Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. Prior to
that Dr. <span class="il">Ro</span> served as senior policy analyst for Community Voices, a national demonstration project to improve access to care for vulnerable populations, while she was at Columbia University as an assistant professor. Dr. <span class="il">Ro</span> obtained
her masters and doctorate from the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health. Dr. <span class="il">Ro</span>’s passion for the leading edge in health equity is evident in her publishing record, which includes numerous articles, book chapters, and reports
on issues related to minority health, community health workers, mental health, oral health, and men’s health.</span><span style="color:#222222"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
