<p class="MsoNormal">February is upon us and Kati and I wanted to let you know about a couple of communications initiatives happening.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">First, you will find the new social media calendar for February uploaded on HPCDP Connection here:

<p class="MsoNormal">Second, we are preparing to launch a cessation campaign separate from our Tobacco Industry Denormalization campaign. For February (American Hearth Month), we are working with American Heart Association to develop materials on the relationship
between heart disease and stroke and tobacco use. We are planning to piggy-back on the CDC's TIPS III campaign by purchasing additional airings of the TIPS ads. Our buy will focus on day-time television. Stay tuned for more on this.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Third, we are working with central RSN to capture stories of retail owners who either refuse to sell tobacco or refuse to advertise it. We will let you know how it goes and are willing to do this with other RSNs. Please let your liaison,
Holly and Kati know if you have a retailer in mind who might be willing to share their business experience with not selling or advertising tobacco.
