Hello TPEP grantees,

Thanks to those of you who participated in last week’s Supporting Oregonians to be Tobacco Free webinar. Here is an archived powerpoint presentation if you’d like to review it:

www.ohsu.edu/xd/research/centers-institutes/institute-on-development-and-disability/public-health-programs/oodh/tobacco-free-webinar.cfm

The webinar is part of the Tobacco Education Project for People with Disabilities, a joint effort between the OHSU Oregon Office on Disability and Health and the OHA Public Health Division’s Health Promotion Chronic Disease Prevention
Section. The Project’s objectives are to reduce tobacco use among both Oregonians with disabilities and their service providers; and increase the number of agencies that have tobacco-free campus policies as well as those who develop referral systems to the
Oregon Tobacco Quit Line.

The Project conducted a statewide survey with disability service providers to learn what they are already doing as well as what type of technical assistance they are interested in receiving from TPEP. The attached document contains contact
information for disability service providers who are interested in developing or enhancing tobacco free campus policies, setting up a Quit Line email referral system and/or disseminating Quit Line materials.

employees and clients in their agency.
