<p class="MsoNormal">This email pertains to a new requirement for the current grant year for county TPEP programs. Tribal TPEP and Healthy Communities programs are invited but not required to participate in these new work groups, which will focus on tobacco.

<p class="MsoNormal">Over the past couple of years, TPEP grantees have started work groups focused on specific topics with the intent of working together to advance coordination in a common area of work. When developing training requirements for the 2014 -2015
grant year, the Grantee Capacity Advisory Group advised HPCDP staff that these work groups have been extremely valuable and recommended that participation in a work group should replace other training requirements. We have expanded these opportunities to five
different work groups.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Starting in the 2014 – 2015 grant year, participation in a grantee-led work group is required for each TPEP County Coordinator, and any staff who works on TPEP issues for .5 FTE or more. For the sake of fulfilling the requirement, “participation”
means participating in at least four calls a year. <o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:10.0pt;line-height:115%">Oregon passed landmark legislation to transform the way services are delivered through the Oregon Health Plan for better health care at lower costs. Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) were
formed to oversee the delivery of services in this new model of care. This has created important opportunities for collaboration between local public health and CCOs. This group will be an opportunity to learn how your colleagues around the state are partnering
with CCOs to change systems, improve health outcomes for vulnerable and disenfranchised populations, and work smarter not harder.<o:p></o:p></p>
