 and the CDC to raise awareness about prediabetes and to increase screening, testing and referral to evidence-based diabetes prevention programs.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">For self-management program delivery organizations, now is a great time to consider expanding the suite of programs you offer to include the DPP, or to reach out to current DPP providers in your area to explore
 opportunities for collaboration to meet the needs of the communities you serve. <o:p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">For county and tribal health departments and Regional Health Equity Coalitions, consider reaching out to local DPP providers to explore possible partnership around raising awareness of prediabetes, promotion
 of DPP programs, and development of referral systems to ensure that people with prediabetes can easily access these programs that been proven to help prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes.

<p class="MsoNormal">Thank you for your trailblazing efforts to offer the National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) in Oregon!  As you may know, an estimated one million people in Oregon are living with prediabetes, and only 7% of those are aware they have
 prediabetes, and understand what this means. <span style="color:#222222">OHSU’s Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Health Center and the Oregon Health Authority’s Public Health Division are working together to raise awareness throughout Oregon about prediabetes and
 the National DPP. </span>Our dream is that in the near future, anyone in Oregon with prediabetes will be able to easily access a DPP anywhere in the state. 
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">To support these efforts, we are excited to share with you that this morning the American Medication Association (AMA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) launched a new national initiative called “Prevent Diabetes
 STAT: Screen, Test, Act - Today™.” The goal of <i>Prevent Diabete<span style="color:#1F497D">s</span> STAT</i> is to raise awareness about prediabetes and to increase screening, testing and referral to evidence-based diabetes prevention programs that are part
 of <a href="http://www.cdc.gov/diabetes/prevention">CDC’s National Diabetes Prevention Program</a>.<span style="color:#1F497D">

<p class="MsoNormal">To support the roll out of this initiative, the CDC and AMA have developed a suite of resources to help stakeholders

 prevention programs (in-person and virtual) by state<span style="color:#1F497D">,</span> and an online screening tool to help people determine their own risk for type 2 diabetes. Visitors are encouraged to
