<p class="MsoNormal">We wanted to make you aware of an upcoming training being offered to CCOs regarding tobacco cessation. Over the next few months, two staff from each CCO will be invited to participate in an “Rx for Change Clinician-Assisted Tobacco Cessation”
training. This training is co-sponsored by HPCDP and the OHA Transformation Center and is being provided in response to CCO requests to learn more about tobacco cessation best practices.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The program is based on the USPSTF tobacco cessation guidelines, and will include information about best practices in counseling interventions and pharmacotherapy. The first training will be offered in Portland in February, and two others
will be offered in Bend and Medford in May. Please see attached for the training flyer which has been distributed to CCOs.
