Description: Youth surveys are important tools that schools, tribes, communities, and state and local agencies can use in coordinated efforts to help students achieve their full potential. For the past decade, the Oregon Health Authority
(OHA) has been conducting two youth surveys: the Oregon Healthy Teens Survey in odd-numbered years, and the Student Wellness Survey in even-numbered years. In response to continued feedback from districts and schools, OHA has agreed that moving to a single
biennial youth survey is necessary and feasible.

In 2020, OHA-Public Health Division will be launching the Student Health Survey, a new youth survey which aims to reduce the data collection burden on districts and schools and increase participation while still meeting core needs of stakeholders.

This webinar will focus on the rationale and timeline of the new survey, findings from recent educational partner engagement efforts, examples of how data and information from youth surveys have been used, and opportunities to provide feedback
and stay engaged.
