GRANT WRITING WORKSHOPS OFFERED IN SALEM AND ONLINE
Oregon Heritage will conduct two grant-writing workshops in early February. The first will take place from 1 – 3 p.m., Feb. 3 at 725 Summer St. NE, Room 124A, Salem. The second will be an online workshop, running from 9:30 – 11 a.m., Feb. 5. Both free workshops will cover project planning and tips for successful grant applications, with the last portion of each session reserved for training on the OPRD GrantsOnline application system. This training is highly recommended if you plan to apply for one of Oregon Heritage’s many grants. These grants fund historic cemetery, museum, archaeology, historic property and other heritage projects.

KEEPING THE CURTAINS UP ON OREGON’S HISTORIC THEATERS
With their large marquees and auditoriums, historic theaters are often a focal point of Oregon’s historic commercial corridors, and they serve as economic stimulators. OREGON FARM AND RANCH SEEK CENTURY FARM AND RANCH APPLICATIONS
The Oregon Century Farm and Ranch Program is accepting applications for the 2015 award year and encourages families throughout Oregon who have continuously farmed portions of their family acreage for the past 100 or 150 years to apply. The application deadline is May 1, 2015.
Successful applicants receive a personalized certificate with acknowledgment by the Governor and the director of the Oregon Department of Agriculture. A durable metal roadside sign to identify the family’s farm or ranch as having historic Century or Sesquicentennial status is also available. A special ceremony and reception honoring recipients will take place at the Oregon State Fair on August 22.

Baker Heritage Museum seeks Museum Manager
The Baker Heritage Museum, located in beautiful Baker County of Eastern Oregon, is seeking a part time Museum Manager, responsible for the management, maintenance, program development and overall operation of the museum. The City of Boise is seeking an associate historic preservation planner. This position will promote and regulate he preservation, rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of historic structures within the City.
