TAKE THE FIRST STEP TODAY TOWARD A COLLECTIONS CARE INCENTIVE

A few minutes of effort today to begin creating a Pocket Response Plan (PREP)<http://www.oregon.gov/oprd/HCD/OHC/docs/OC2C%20Prep%20Plan.doc> will begin to qualify your organization for an incentive payment from the Connecting to Collections Project. Oregon Heritage will be right there working with you along the way.

Here’s how it works. Every week for six weeks, Oregon Heritage News sends you a section or two of the PREP to complete. Each segment takes just a few minutes to fill in with information you already have in your museum, library or archive.

At the end of six weeks, you will have finished a PREP and that qualifies you for a financial incentive from the Oregon Connecting to Collections project, funded in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Here are this week’s sections:
1. First responders contact information.
2. Building utilities contact information.

Visit Oregon Heritage Exchange<https://oregonheritage.wordpress.com/2015/02/06/get-prep-ed-get-paid/> for more information about the incentives. If you want to share your progress – which is a great method to ensure you will finish, email Kyle Jansson<mailto:kyle.jansson at oregon.gov> or call him at (503) 986-0673.

Everything you need to know is available at Oregon Heritage online<http://www.oregon.gov/oprd/HCD/FINASST/Pages/grants.aspx>.
