REALM Project update including toolkits for libraries, archives, and museums
Five materials that are commonly found in furnishings and exhibits of archives, libraries, and museums were selected for the sixth REALM lab test. Battelle researchers will apply the COVID-19 virus to each item and measure how much remains after 2, 4, 6, and 8 days. The study began on October 8 and includes the following items: Visit Happening Now<https://www.oclc.org/realm/happening-now.html?utm_source=SFMC&utm_medium=email&utm_content=REALM+Project+Test+6+underway&utm_campaign=&utm_term=REALM%20Project%20Email%20Updates>.

OHA revises facial covering guidance and requirements as COVID-19 cases spike in Oregon
View the updated guidelines and requirements here: https://sharedsystems.dhsoha.state.or.us/DHSForms/Served/le2288K.pdf.
A couple of items to point out:
* On face shields:
"It is not recommended that individuals wear a face shield instead of a mask or face covering. Face shields can be very good at blocking droplets that individuals release, but they are not as effective at limiting the release of aerosols that can go around the shield."
* On people gathering in common areas:
"Masks, face coverings or face shields are required at all times for employees, contractors and volunteers in public and private workplaces, including hallways, bathrooms, classrooms, elevators, lobbies, break rooms, meeting rooms and other common and shared spaces, unless employees, contractors or volunteers are at a private, individual workspace not shared with other people."
