9th annual Archaeology Roadshow events and updates
Celebrate the archaeology of Oregon and beyond at the 9th annual Archaeology Roadshow, which has shifted to a virtual experience this year. As in past years, the Roadshow will feature dozens of presentations and activities hosted by archaeologists and community members from around the state; from universities, tribes, federal and state agencies, archaeology companies, and nonprofit organizations.
We've created a new website - archaeologyroadshow.org<https://pdx.us17.list-manage.com/track/click?u=1c7f343dcd710070fafb26bdb&id=3fdef3722c&e=260da01572> - which launches on June 1. Here you will find a range of virtual exhibits, such as short videos about recent projects, photo essays, and blogs/articles geared for the public. Also make sure to check out the dynamic map of archaeological and cultural heritage points of interest in Oregon and our region.
We are also hosting live presentations and panel discussions throughout the month of June on a range of topics; and two panels where visitors can log in to talk with archaeologists about their treasured object.
Please see the calendar below for dates and times. Report on the impact of virtual programs on revenue generation for cultural organizations
In recognition of International Museum Day, Cuseum is excited to announce the publication of a special report on digital revenue streams in the cultural sector. With survey data from 500+ museum professionals, the report examines how museums and cultural organizations are generating and diversifying their revenue channels through the use of virtual programs.
As cultural organizations continue to navigate the changes ushered in by the pandemic, we hope that this resource offers insights and guidance on the emerging trend of monetizing digital programs.
