<p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Garamond"><span style="font-size:12pt">Oregon</span><span style="font-size:12pt; color:black"> Main Street has accepted the Tillamook Revitalization Association for inclusion at the Transforming Downtown level. Communities participating
at this level have a high degree of commitment to implementing a downtown revitalization program using the Main Street Approach®. The Main Street Approach® is a comprehensive downtown revitalization program that uses historic preservation as one of its most
important tools. It is a practical program that helps communities build on their unique assets.

<p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Garamond"><span style="font-size:12pt; color:black">Sheri Stuart, Oregon Main Street coordinator, has seen increased interest in building a comprehensive downtown revitalization effort using the Main Street model and a renewed
awareness of the link between local heritage and sustainable economic development across the state. Currently, there are 91 communities participating in one of the four levels of the Oregon Main Street Network: Performing Main Street, Transforming Downtown,
Exploring Main Street, and Affiliate. While not a pre-requisite for acceptance at the Transforming Downtown level, Tillamook had previously participated at the Exploring Downtown level. Visit the Oregon Heritage website for more information about the

<p class="Default"><font face="Garamond" size="3">The Willamette Heritage Center (WHC) is seeking an experienced professional to serve as its director of development. Reporting to the executive director, the director of development will be responsible for planning,
developing, and executing an effective development program. <span style="">Responsibilities will
</span>include, among other duties, collaboration with the executive director to establish and build relationships with prospective donors and sponsors; coordinating grant production and other funding opportunities; fund raising presentations and donor appeals;
and oversight of the membership program and members-only events. Review of applications will begin August 15, 2014 and will continue until position is filled.</font></p>

with board members, memberships, patrons and community leaders; experience in securing support from diverse funding sources (individuals, foundations and businesses); demonstrated success in cultivating, soliciting and securing annual operating support and
gifts; and experience in developing grant and sponsorship proposals for funding from individuals, businesses, foundations and government agencies. Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is preferred.
