<p class="MsoNormal">The Oregon Digital Newspaper Project has updated and enhanced lesson plans to align with Oregon Common Core State Standards. The plans focus on topics in Oregon history and American history, incorporating primary source content from newspapers
found in the ODNP’s <a href="http://oregonnews.uoregon.edu" target="_blank">Historic Oregon Newspapers online</a> and the Library of Congress’
<a href="http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov" target="_blank">Chronicling America website</a>, and aligning lesson plans with Common Core standards for English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Sciences.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The new plans are targeted at <a href="http://odnp.uoregon.edu/k-12-resources/english-language-arts-grade-4/">

<p class="MsoNormal">To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act and the centennial of the National Park Service in 2016, the NPS has started a social media campaign to highlight preservation work done in all 50 states for the

<p class="MsoNormal">The federal Institute of Museum and Library Services is launching a new initiative to ensure that every family and child has access to high quality museum experiences. Museums for All has been developed as a nationally branded program,
targeted to low-income families. Participating museums will offer free or reduced-price admission for up to four individuals in a group upon presentation of an electronic benefit transfer card. The nationally-branded program offers a variety of resources and
support materials ranging from the program logo to bookmarks, window stickers, sample press releases, partnership ideas, and training resources for front line staff.
