<p class="MsoNormal">The Historic Preservation Program in the School of Architecture & Allied Arts at the University of Oregon invites applications for possible temporary, part-time, limited-duration teaching positions in the program. Areas of expertise include:
introduction to historic preservation, survey and inventory, national register nomination, preservation economics, land use ethics, adaptive use studio, building documentation and analysis, cultural resource management/public policies in preservation, preservation

<p class="MsoNormal">Oregon Humanities is seeking nominations for the eighth Oregon Poet Laureate, to begin her or his two-year term on April 22.

<p class="MsoNormal">Oregon's Poet Laureate is an outstanding poet who must be committed to bringing poetry to a wide range of places and people, have a significant body of publically accessible work, agree to the two-year period of the appointment, and be
prepared to undertake a significant cultural project and the public role required of the laureate. The current poet laureate is

<p class="MsoNormal">World War I is the focus of a documentary film and exhibit at the
<a href="http://www.tamastslikt.org/">Tamástslikt Cultural Institute</a>.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">A film about World War I will be shown at 1 p.m. Dec. 12 at the facility located at 47106 Wildhorse Blvd. at the far end of the main driveway of the Wildhorse Resort & Casino, 10 minutes east of Pendleton.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">In addition, until Jan. 2, Tamástslikt is hosting an exhibit of World War I posters. This exhibit shows how early 19th century government and private social media efforts impacted those “over there” and at home. It features 65 original
posters from the World War I era, including an original “Uncle Sam” poster, as well as artifacts and ephemera from the time period.<o:p></o:p></p>
