<p class="MsoNormal">The Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries will meet via online meeting on Feb 5 at 1:00 p.m. The agenda includes project planning, the abandoned cemetery care permit process, and legislative and other updates. The meeting is open to
the public and the <a href="https://www.oregon.gov/oprd/OH/Documents/2021FebConfCallOCHCagenda.pdf">
agenda</a> includes an opportunity for public comment. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">State law established the seven-member Commission to maintain a listing of all historic cemeteries and gravesites in Oregon; promote public education on the significance of historic cemeteries; and help obtain financial and technical assistance

<p class="MsoNormal">The Oregon SHPO will not present the draft state rules for the federal National Register of Historic Places program in Oregon at the OPRD Commission's February 2021 meeting as previously planned. The agency continues to consider the substantial
comments received during the public comment period in consultation with the Oregon Department of Justice. The SHPO will bring the draft rule to the Commission at a future meeting.<o:p></o:p></p>
