Rural Placemaking Innovation Challenge</a>. The funds may be used to help rural communities create plans to enhance their capacity for broadband access; preserve cultural and historic structures; and support development in transportation, housing, and recreational
spaces.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Technical assistance provided through these grants must support the development of actionable plans based on convening partners and identifying community needs that enable rural areas to build back better and stronger. The technical assistance
must provide support to rural communities for up to two years.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Public and private groups, organizations, and institutions that demonstrate experience in providing placemaking technical assistance and administering federal grants are eligible to apply.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">USDA is seeking to partner with at least one entity each in the northeastern, southern, midwestern, and western regions of the United States. The maximum grant amount for any one applicant is $250,000. Applicants must provide a funding

<p class="MsoNormal">Archival Intern working in the Document Management section of the Willamette Valley Project (WVP) for the Army Corps of Engineers. WVP is a major water resource project responsible for operating 13 dams and managing natural resources and
recreation in the lakes and surrounding lands. We manage nearly 50,000 acres in the Willamette, McKenzie, and Santiam watersheds. The Natural Resource section is known for their community partnerships to enhance recreation opportunities and preserve and restore
natural resources.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Primary archival and cultural resources duties include cataloging, organizing, archiving, and scanning historic dam construction photos and related documents, archaeological reports, and historical recreation documents. This may include
compiling information on prior land ownership, relocated towns, roads, and railroads, using GIS mapping to document changes over time, and updating photo point reference documents. Additional tasks may include field support of other natural resource programs:
botany, wildlife biology, cultural resources monitoring, boundary surveys and park operations.<br>
