Mark June 23rd 2009 on your calendar! We will meet at 1 PM to Network on
Polk County Cemeteries at the Polk County Museum, 560 Pacific Hwy. (99W).
The museum is in the Southwest corner of the Polk County Fairgrounds.

For those who would like to "brown bag it" we will gather at Noon in Nesmith
Park Northwest of the Fairgrounds. The weather should be nice by then and
you can take a look at the James A. Nesmith Family Cemetery on the banks of
LaCreole Creek. Turn off Pacific Hwy. (99W) into the main road for the
Fairgrounds but make a quick left turn before you go thru the gate and
follow the road around to a parking area. There are picnic tables, porta
potties and nature walks, too.

Invite others who have an interest in Historic Polk County Cemeteries.
Cemeteries need a lot of Friends to help preserve the sites and markers.

Check out BURCH CEMETERY on the newest Polk County Cemetery Listing on the
web:

Highlight the above and place in search slot. You will see the opening page
with several cemeteries listed. Click on Burch Cemetery. The site is very
new and not indexed on GOOGLE, as yet.

Margaret Fox from Corvallis will be joining us with a presentation about
arranging an event in your cemetery.
