We have family buired at Lone Fur and the head stone is very and tall. Through your information I was able to contact a person at the cemetery to make sure nothing happened to the grave.

Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries meets in Weston 

  

The Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries will meet Oct. 14 from 1 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at the Weston Memorial Hall, 210 East Main Street, Weston. 

  

Agenda items will include the grant program, current projects and upcoming plans. The commission will invite public comments. 



State law established the seven-member commission to maintain a listing of all historic cemeteries and gravesites in Oregon; promote public education on the significance of historic cemeteries; and help obtain financial and technical assistance for restoring, improving and maintaining their appearances. More information about commission activities and the meeting may be obtained from the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department’s historic cemeteries program coordinator, Kuri Gill, at 503-986-0685 or by e-mail: Kuri.Gill at state.or.us .
