Historic Cemeteries Commission holds meeting in Salem
 
The Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries (OCHC) meeting will take place June 21 at the at Eaton 106 on the Willamette University Campus at 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Agenda items will include a cemetery grant report, current projects and upcoming plans. The commission will invite public comments. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the national Association for Gravestone Studies Conference. 


State law established the seven-member commission to maintain a listing of all historic cemeteries and gravesites in Oregon; promote public education on the significance of historic cemeteries; and help obtain financial and technical assistance for restoring, improving and maintaining their appearances.
