Hello Kari,
Thanks for the information. I will forward to Cindy Allen, my Niece for her information. You and your family are cordially invited to attend the 5th annual Thanksgiving party at Roth's banquet hall in West Salem. The Oregon Room is located on the 2nd floor above the grocery store. We like that venue and hope you can join this year.
Regards, Jack

While ancient mariners had only a couple of tools to chart their course, attendees at the 2015 Oregon Heritage Conference will be able to learn about the vast array of technological research tools available to them.
The Heritage Conference will take place April 22-24 in North Bend-Coos Bay. Most of the events will take place at the The Mill Casino and Hotel, several will also take place at other regional heritage sites.
One day-long technology workshop on “Exploring Remote Sensing Techniques for Cemetery Mapping” will enable historic cemetery managers to understand the best and most appropriate remote sensing or archaeological techniques for each cemetery location.
This workshop compares the abilities and limitations of ground - penetrating RADAR (GPR), magnetometry, metal detectors, conductivity, and resistivity to help cemetery managers determine the best method to use, optimal conditions for their use, the order in which they should be used, and the cost. An afternoon field demonstration of the techniques will be conducted at the Marshfield Cemetery.
For more information and registration about the conference, visit the conference webpage at http://www.oregon.gov/oprd/HCD/OHC/Pages/Conference.aspx . The conference theme is “Chart Your Course.”
