Historic Cemeteries Commission meets June 24 in Oregon City

The Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries will meet at 1 p.m. June 24 at the Station 15 John Adams Fire Station, 624 7th Street, Oregon City. Agenda items will include cemetery ownership, communication with the Cemetery Association of Oregon, current projects and upcoming plans. The commission will invite public comments. State law established the seven-member Oregon Commission on Historic Cemeteries to maintain a listing of all historic cemeteries and gravesites in Oregon; promote public education on the significance of historic cemeteries; and obtain financial and technical assistance for restoring, improving and maintaining their appearances.
